Tumbleweed in a vineyard north of Bernalillo

March 8, 2019|Written by Gill

A tumbleweed, Likely Salsola tragus or Russian Thistle, caught against a trellis post in a vineyard north of Bernalillo, NM.
This is the time of year that weeds begin to emerge in vineyards and winegrowers should consider their weed management... either pre-emergence or post-emergence herbicides, and/or mechanical cultivation. However, as always many tumbleweeds are just 'passing thru'.
