I collected cuttings from our vineyard in January with 6-7 buds treated them with fungicide and kept them damp in our fridge for a few days. I made sure to cut the top at an angle and the base square just so I could remember how to orient them at planting. I dug a pit in our greenhouse and used insulation board to build a box within the pit, put a seed mat in the bottom of the soil pit/box, set to 72 degrees and filled the box with a combination of play sand and seedling mix. I dipped the bundled cuttings in rooting hormone before planting. We planted some individually and some in bundles. The bundles did significantly better. At that point, we have just covered it in plastic and left it alone. I check them once a week. Some on the west side of the greenhouse have leafed quite a bit while most just have swollen buds, but the root growth is consistent among all of them. Go visit enchantmentvineyards
